Successful CNAs: Education Is the Key!

As a CNA, you probably work with people who have been diagnosed with a variety of different diseases: cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, depression, COPD, diabetes…and many more.  And, you’ve probably cared for clients who have special needs because of:
  • A specific prescribed diet.
  • Recent surgery.
  • A risk of pressure sores.
  • A terminal illness.
  • Cultural differences.
  • A history of falling down.
  • An inability to eat independently.
  • Acute or chronic pain.
 
The list goes on and on, doesn’t it? Let's face it: most people in the nursing field have felt overwhelmed at times, wishing they knew more about how to help their clients.  But, there's good news!  The solution is simple: ongoing education. As a health care professional, it is crucial that you seek out the information you need to meet your clients’ needs and to ensure that you shine at your job!
